None of us are strangers to the term COVID 19. It has caused enough havoc in everyone’s lives to make sure we remember it till the end of time. Our entire schedules have been disrupted, our plans destroyed and our agendas lost. All because of one small Virus. We’ve been confined to our houses for over 7 months now and we still don’t know when the pandemic will end.

India was one of the first few countries to respond to the situation and started with the lockdown in the early stages of infection. Despite that, the virus spread mercilessly. The unlock procedures have slowly begun in the country as we take our first whiff of fresh air in months. Shops have started functioning again, public places are being opened up to controlled crowds and we are gradually learning to adapt to live with the virus. It is true that we have not successfully managed to eradicate the virus but we’re slowly fighting it.

During the lockdown phases, a lot of new challenges arose. For instance, schools and colleges could not stop functioning altogether. Classes had to be taken and so, people sought after the online platforms of teaching. Everything shifted to online mode- be it students or be it the working individuals, everyone is now the slave of the screen. Our lives have turned topsy-turvy, yet we’ve managed to find solutions to most of the problems. We even have apps to measure the risk of an individual coming in contact with COVID.

One major trick to save ourselves from the virus is to remain clean. By keeping ourselves and our surroundings sanitized, we make sure that we never cross paths with the virus. That is why the Swachcha Bharat Abhiyaan plays such a big part in keeping us safe. The cleaner our surroundings, the safer we are.

Jai Hind!
